Flagstaff Marine Beneteau Stories

Germany’s 2018 boot Düsseldorf was another ground-breaking success with 1,923 exhibitors showing boats, yachts and water sport products from around the world. Flagstaff Marine co-owner Graham Raspass was among the quarter-million visitors attending the show.

International opportunity

International opportunity

As a globally recognised event, boot Düsseldorf is a unique opportunity for boat enthusiasts and owners from around the world to gather insight into the industry. Brands have the chance to compete for the European Yacht of the Year and Boat of the Year awards, while designers discuss the latest in boating technology.

Aside from admiring all the vessels on display, Graham took time to chat with Beneteau:

Düsseldorf presents me with an opportunity to sit with the [Beneteau] design team for each of the models and discuss current and future developments. One of the key strengths of Beneteau is the length they go to, to gain insights from owners about how they use their products and what changes they would like to see. This extensive feedback is then fed to the design team by product and marketing teams and leads to continued innovation.”

With insider knowledge under his belt, Graham recently returned to Sydney with some exciting highlights from Düsseldorf.

While Graham was ready to share most of his findings with the Flagstaff Marine community, there was one thing he’ll be keeping to himself:

“I was able to confirm that we will have a model that will be on show for the first time in the world at the Sydney International Boat Show 2018 … so stay tuned!”
